Senior System Support Engineer


Qualifications & experience
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
  • Preferbly 3-4 years of hands-on experience in providing technical support.
  • Proficiency in Windows, Linux and macOS operating systems and experience with server operating systems and environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in English, Malay and Mandarin.
Tasks & responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance to users via phone, email and remote support tools.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops and servers.
  • Resolve network connectivity problems.
  • Attend to onsite support if required.
  • Perform server regular maintenance on system updates and patches, monitor system performance and uptime, conduct routine audits to ensure system integrity and security.
  • Linux Server OS installation and configuration, setup user accounts and manage access controls, configure network setting and troubleshoot network issues.
  • Collaboration and coordination with other IT colleague to solve complex technical problems, collaborate with third-party vendors for hardware, software or server support.
  • Ad hoc after-hours support if necessary.
  • Provide training to end-users on new systems and software, assist users in understanding best practices and effective use of technology.
